March 24-26, 2017

We are pleased to invite you to the 12th edition of Market, the leading Nordic fair for contemporary art, taking place for the first time at Färgfabriken. You will find us in booth 26 on the first floor where we will be exhibiting work by Annika von Hausswolff and Kristina Jansson – two of Sweden’s most critically acclaimed artists that share an interest in continuously exploring their respective artistic mediums and how visual meaning is created and understood.

Annika von Hausswolff (b 1967) has been noted internationally for her works revolving around staged photography and spatiality, combined with existential and psychoanalytical themes. In her recent works she has not photographed anything herself. Using images that have been dormant in various archives for a long time she has undertaken a sort of excavation and has filtered the material through both universal and deeply personal parameters. Her method has included scanning analogue photographs and digitally processing them and this time, striving for tactility, she has rasterized the images and transferred them onto enamel through screen-printing.

Annika von Hausswolff’s most recent institutional exhibition Grand Theory Hotel was shown at Hasselblad Center 2016, travelled to the Swedish Institute in Paris, 2016-2017 and is accompanied by a catalogue.

Kristina Jansson (b 1967) has consistently returned to the question of what she as a painter can create with a medium already so burdened by its history. What does one actually do when creating a painted image? It is never only an image as it exists in a borderland between image and material. As we become more and more imprinted by the photographic image a painting appears to be incomprehensible and strange from where it observes us.

Kristina Jansson’s most recent institutional exhibition was at Borås Konstmuseum, accompanied by an extensive monograph.

Linder’s first exhibition is currently on view at the gallery, which is open Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm and Saturday noon-4 pm.
