Café Klotet presents an exhibition of works by Carin Ellberg, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed contemporary artists. In her art, painting, watercolour, printmaking and sculpture come together in an organic visual language where landscapes, the sea, memories and inner states merge. Her work is characterised by a constant shift between the concrete and the dreamlike, between the forms of nature and personal narratives.
Several of the works tie in with themes that have long been a recurring feature of Ellberg’s artistic practice: the sea, the landscape and the invisible connections that bind people, places and species together. Her works move freely between painting and sculpture, between narrative and association, and invite the viewer into an open dialogue with the image.
