In 2004 I bought a digital camera.
It wasn't much of an event at the time. But in retrospect, I understand that quite a lot changed.
Before that I photographed on film. I had negatives and slide film. I made artworks that I sometimes photographed, and sometimes not. I suppose many of them are still around somewhere. I just don't know where.
Invitations for openings was sent by post. At times I attended the openings. At times I just saved the invitations.
Then almost everything became digital.
It was practical.
I'm now planning to put on an exhibition with things from before 2004. I've invited artists from that period.
We will present artworks, photographs, invitations, posters and movies. Things that remain. Things that might have been forgotten.
It's not an historical exhibition. It's not really a nostalgic exhibition either.
It's mainly an exhibition about a few things that were left behind.
